an autumn maple.
whilst the colour of the leaves tell us autumn is upon us, the sun today for once seems to be still thinking of summer. However it will soon be October and whilst they still hang on, the leaves of the maple in our back garden are beautiful in the evening light.

the sun low in the sky in the back garden transforms our maple tree. And at this time of year the seeds are bright red and the leaves are changing. I love how the clear blue sky outlines everything.

Our maple
Awoke this morning to stunning sunshine. At this time of year I often sit out in the back garden with the first of (too) many cups of coffee and listen to the birds’ chorus. It’s a good time to chill.
Then I wondered around with my Canon – the colour of this maple’s leaves are stunning when viewed from underneath into the cloudless sky.
A wet Sunday
This is one of my favourite plants in the garden. We transplanted it from out previous house when it was much, much smaller. With little other opportunity today as it rained most of the time I ventured out with my camera to the back garden. Tried very hard to catch rain droplets hanging from the tips of the leaves.
